In fall 2011, students from the Myers School of Art, Environmental Akron and the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers created a surface contour map on the parking lot behind Folk Hall.
In this project the amount of water that falls on the lot during a typical rainstorm was calculated and demonstrated. This drawing indicated the direction and quantity of rain water going to the storm drains.
The process and finished product was documented by the Mini Blimp managed by the Biology Department. The drawing was a temporary art work of water base, nontoxic paint which drew attention to the way the parking lot functions.
